SMME HUB

Located at 61 Davies Street in Westonaria, the South Deep Education Trust and South Deep Community Trust have established a valuable resource for the community.

This facility offers aspiring and existing small business owners a variety of essential services, including printing, business support, coworking spaces, technology access, consulting, events, training sessions, and workshops—all designed to foster business growth and development.

Additionally, the Hub provides office space at a minimal fee, with a waiting list currently in place due to high demand. In 2022 alone, over 1,400 entrepreneurs participated in activities at the Hub, marking a 40% increase in engagement compared to the previous year.

In 2023, the Hub introduced mathematics and science programs to support local students, along with a project management learnership aimed at equipping individuals with sought-after skills. Moreover, twelve youth-owned businesses benefited from a youth revitalization dialogue hosted in partnership with RWCLM. That same year, the highly anticipated Hub renovation project commenced, employing a local contractor and generating job opportunities within the community.
